Christmas Door Designs We Love

Get some festive inspiration with our handy guide for your brand new Christmas door designs. Let’s get the Christmas spirit started!

It’s that time of year where we’re taking a look at all of those great home designs that have been planned out piece by piece and implemented in homes across the country. We’ve rounded up just a few of our favourites to give you some inspiration for helping your home get into the Christmas spirit.

Whether you are aiming for high-fashion editorial looks or just a bit of light fun to keep the family entertained, here are some cool ideas to get your doors and the rest of your home looking as festive as they can be.

For The Traditional Ones

You don’t always have to stray far from the tried and tested favourites each year. At times it’s a more traditional take that can really be the simplicity that your home was looking for in order to make the most of the season.

Take a gorgeous Christmas display on an elegant black front door. Red tartan fabric really ties together the holly berries and red bow adorning the wreath. We haven’t seen ice skates used before, but they help give it that winter feel without going for something like a snowman.

This is one design that we’d love to replicate!

Pick up a new front door and give it a generous new colour to really bring out your decorations. Black is a fantastic choice to let your inspiration shine. What other colours would you consider for your front door? Browse our range of door finishes for some more inspiration.

Be Kind To Your ‘Elf!

One of the best parts of Christmas is being able to spend time with the family. There’s nothing more magical than the looks on the kids’ faces on Christmas morning, and really, we’re all just big kids around the festivities too.

With a lot of different ideas around for kids, we’ve found an amazing idea to not only get the house ready for Santa visiting, but it’s a great way to keep the kids busy too.

Take for example an adorable Elf Door! Much like fairy doors we’ve seen come and go in homes, this special version is perfect for bringing the festive spirit in. They’re easy enough to make too if you’re on a budget – pick up some red and green card and some decorative pieces, and make your very own.

Get the kids to help and it’s a fun, festive activity that you can all enjoy. But hurry – Santa’s nearly here!

Snow Joke With These Wreaths

Nothing says Christmas quite like snow. (Although no matter how much we keep asking for a white Christmas, they never seem to happen… !) There are ways to bring a bit of that fresh winter bliss into your home!

We’re pretty big fans of using wreaths not only outside, but indoors too. They can give a special little festive touch to an area of the home that’s usually a little less loved.

Adding a beautiful white wreath like this is perfect against any solid white internal door. Not only do they look beautiful, but they give the sense that you’ve plucked up some of the snow outdoors and placed it right into your room.

It’s a beautiful take on fake snow with a lot more fashion-forward thinking, and we’d love to do this in our own homes!

Christmas All Wrapped Up

Simplicity can be the most effective decorative tool when thinking of ways to make your home that little bit more magical. With that in mind, why not opt for something just that little bit more simple for your home?

Picking up some strips of fabric – festive red or a nice icy blue would be best! – and wrapping them to make the door look like a present can have a surprisingly fun effect!

It makes for a fantastic first look at your home as your guests arrive, or you could adapt this idea to be used on Christmas morning!

You can imagine the excitement on the kids’ faces as they rush to the living room to see what Santa has left for them to find that it looks like the entire room is a present! It brings a little more Christmas magic, doesn’t it?
